9 Perkara yang perlu anda tahu tentang Intel's Core 2 Duo.......
Core 2 Duo dan Core 2 Extreme merupakan processor terlaju yang ada di pasaran setakat ini. Lebih laju daripada Pentium EE, ini adalah berdasarlan kepada teknik Smart Cache and Wide Dynamic Execution dan lebih laju berbanding AMD FX62.
Core 2 Duo mengambil alih nama bagi siri Pentium processors, ini bermakna tidak ada lagi siri Pentium, seperti Pentium 5, 6, atau XX.
Untuk pertama kali, Intel secara istimewa telah membina satu 'unified Core architecture' untuk semua kategori : 'Conroe ' (Desktops), Merom (Notebooks), dan 'Woodcrest' (workstation/servers). Semuanya adalah berdasarkan kepada Intel's Core Technologies, dan kesemuanya adalah '64-bit-capable dual-core processors with shared enhancements' ..........
Kesemua variasi (Conroe, Merom, dan Woodcrest) akan membekal kuasa pengkomputeran dan mengurangkan penggunaan tenaga. Ini akan memanjangkan jangka hayat batteri dan membolehkan rekaan sistem lebih kecil pada desktop dan workstations, sepadan dengan maksud kurang kuasa bermakna kurang pemanasan (heat), membolehkan kurang penggunaan ruang bagi kipas di dalam kotak komputer.
Tambahan daripada perkara di atas. kurang kuasa juga bermakan kipas boleh berpusing secara perlahan, jadi sistem anda akan menjadi lebih senyap.
Core 2 Duo untuk sekarang di reka untuk melupuskan sebahagian Motherboard Pentium D/EE(LGA775) ('With some BIOS/Firmware updates).
Multitasking beralih kepada level seterusnya. Dengan 'Core 2 duo's virtualization technology',anda boleh menukar satu fizikal PC kepada beberapa sistem virtual, semuanya boleh berjalan dengan berbeza aplikasi dan sistem operasi.
Hari ini, hanya perniagaan bc yang ada TMP 1.2 protection chip terbina. Dengan Core 2 Duo, semua PC adalah di lindungi. TMP (Trusted Platform Module) melindungi katalaluan, login dan data personal pada level perkakasan daripada hacker, spyware dan pencuri maklumat.
Mengenai code-name convention: Conroe, Merom, dan Woodcrest, bukan sebenarnya di panggil "speed" atau "kickin" prestasi. Intel's desktop dan workstation CPU di reka di Oregon, California dan Texas. Jadi nama bandar Conroe(Texas) and Woodcrest(Califonia) diambil sempena nama bandar atau tempat di mana ianya di hasilkan.. dan Merom? yang ini mungkin di Israel.

Interesting input here, congratz. Nwy, i n my colleagues use standard pc (+minor upgrade)..n yet still could produce likeable graphic product. hmm..my personal opinion- there are nonsense to quote "Computer Specification for Graphic Designer".
well, it's true computer nowadays has becoming a major media/tools in producing graphic works, but i juz can't agree y there r should be a so called "Computer Specification for Graphic Designer"- where the computer specification list is too bombastic. I think it's irrelevant (in $$RM matter of course).
Actually there r no specific computer criteria in grapic,it depends greatly on what area of graphic u r into. Animation? publishing? 3d? Advert? illustration? etc, etc, etc, or even dtp?
Hmm.. Yeah, if us/our boss is rich enuff to support every computers in his work station to be this super-computers, i juz could say superb!
